I thought I would take a moment and share with you my photo gear that I plan of taking with me to Peru.
I recently acquired during the holiday season an awesome Nikon D80 DSLR. I figured it was time to upgrade from my old P&S camera.
What made the camera such a great deal was that it came with two kit lenses, a Nikkor 18-55mm AFS/D and a Nikkor 55-200mm AFS/D. I was able to pick up this wonderful set at Pro Photo Supply in NW Portland and I highly recommend the place.
After purchasing the D80 I found myself wanting a good quality 50mm lenses so I went out and purchased one along with an SB600 flash unit.
Along with all this fancy gear i received a tripod and a camera case as gifts during Christmas. Luckily I have had plenty of time to get familiarized with my equipment and i must say it can be overwhelming at times. I have already taken tons of pictures with my D80 and can't wait to use it to document my trip.
For those of you who are interested in learning more about the above equipment, I have placed links below with reviews and info.
